It took a little over 2 months to get things squared away, but A’s Fan Radio is pleased to announce that we will interview Oakland Mayor Jean Quan sometime in the next 3 weeks for an upcoming edition of the show in regards to the Coliseum City project and the battle to keep all 3 teams from leaving “The Town”.
Along with any questions we here at AFR have for her, we will also field questions from YOU, our listeners, to ask her as well. Please be mindful and respectful with your questions and please keep them on the subject of Coliseum City and what is being done to keep the teams from leaving Oakland as we do want Mayor Quan to be able open up more about the project and not have a repeat of her interview that took place on 95.7 The Game during the summer.
We wish to thank the Mayor’s office as well as Mayor Quan’s close friend and Save Oakland Sports member Sara Somers for helping us get this interview finalized. Today at 11 am PST, Save Oakland Sports and the City of Oakland will hold a press conference to announce “Oakland Loves Its Sports Team Week”. Here is the information in regards to what is going down today:
“Come to Oakland City Hall TODAY @ 11:00am in Raiders & A’s gear or colors for the official press conference of “Oakland Loves Its Sports Teams Week”.
It’s going down next month in Oakland with the Andre Ward fight at the Coliseum,……The A’s vs. Orioles Series for the Wild Card & The Raiders Opener on Monday Night Football!!!
Come support Save Oakland Sports and the City of Oakland’s efforts to focus the sports world’s attention on Oakland. Help the fight to keep the Raiders and A’s here in Oakland.
If you can’t go to the press conference please invite someone you think can go. Let’s “StAY” Oakland!
Mayor Quan – joined by regional elected officials, business leaders and sports fans – will share details on the “Oakland Loves Its Sports Teams” Week.
The “Oakland Loves Its Sports Teams” Week will salute the Oakland A’s and Oakland Raiders for being irreplaceable civic treasures that add significantly to the economy, identity, pride and culture of Oakland, Alameda County and the entire East Bay region.”

I’m Nick Badders and I am a 15 years old living in the Bay Area. I’m an A’s Season Ticket Holder in the RF Bleachers and ballhawk at A’s, Ports, Nuts, and Giants games. Here, I write about my experiences going to and snagging balls at Minor League Baseball games.

I’m an Oakland Athletics Season Ticket holder and sit in Section 149 of the Right Field Bleachers. I love going to Major and Minor League baseball games and snagging balls, which I began to do in 2011. To date, I've snagged 165 Minor League Baseballs and 185 Major League Baseballs.
