A's Fan Radio

Another great Thursday night in the East Bay. Makes me miss the days when we would meet at La Estrellita Cafe And Bar prior to show time to grab a bite, BS, and go over things to be talked about on the show that night. Well my friends, the time for us to be able to this once again are coming closer than you think.

It is my pleasure to announce that we are green lit for the 1st show of the relaunch for this October sometime following the conclusion of the World Series. A set date will be posted once myself and the rest of the cast meet to decide a date that works for all five of us so we can all be on hand for our 1st show in 4 years.

Be sure to swing by the Annual Bleacher Bum End of Season Tailgate Party to meet the members of the cast. You will also be able to mingle with some of us at the Tailgate at the Paramount event before the premiere of “Moneyball”.

Good evening everyone and also welcome aboard to our Facebook followers:

First off, I want to thank you all for following along and supporting the show’s reboot. It was because of you that show was able to have the success it did the 1st time around. Now we are soon ready to take you on that journey with us once again into the world of the White Elephants & beyond.

As many of you know, Quintona “Wiggi” Branch has joined the cast as a host and as our soundboard tech, joining myself, Chris Dobbins, Jorge Leon & Will MacNeil. Wiggi joining the cast will also allow us to restart the show sooner than originally planned. Also allowing us to advance closer to our return show is my enrollment into the Media Communications courses at Laney College in Oakland. These classes have not only allowed me to refresh myself with things I learned during the 1st run of the show, but also has given me the tools to take the show to the level that Dobbins and I have always wanted with me taking over for Francis Brooks as A’s Fan Radio’s producer, as well as pass on what I have learned to the rest of the cast.

This along with what Wiggi & Will have learned in the field while studying at Ex’pression
College (Wiggi) & CSU East Bay (Will), Dobbins’ background and talent from the 1st run of the show, and Jorge’s knowledge of the A’s history and roll in the battle to keep the A’s in Oakland, A’s Fan Radio is ready to reach a level not seen by an East Bay internet sports radio talk show since Raider Fan Radio’s dominate run of the internet radio waves in the East Bay from the late 90’s to 2009.

The plan for now is the do the show in my one bedroom studio, which has been named “Dub-6 Studios”, in the house my wife & I share with my aunt. During this time, the show will run anywhere from 30 mins to the full 2 hours we used to broadcast the show in the past. The early versions of the relaunch shows will ether be live or recorded and upload as podcasts onto here and the official website once we have it back online. I will also be speaking with Francis about trying to get ahold of as many copies of broadcasts from the show’s 1st run as possible uploaded on here and/or the official website.

Along with this site, our Facebook page and the official website once its back up, we are proud and ready to bring you A’s Fan Radio as it was ment to be. Once again, I thank you the fans and my fellow cast members for sticking with us and pushing us to get back on the air.
