2:18 PM PST: Speakers for the other items to be viewed today are up talking at the moment. Myself, Black Hole Rob, Tittle and other Save Oakland Sports members will be speaking on the record for the Coliseum City project.
3:18 PM PST: 15 speakers, including myself, are just now wraping up speaking on the project. Fred Blackwell lead things off by presenting layouts for the site, followed by public words from myself as I presented SOS’s letter sent to Chairperson Jane Brunner earlier in the day, Rick Tittle, Save Oakland Sports member Black Hole Rob, Save Oakland Sports Co-Founder Randall Whitney and AFR Host/Green Stampede President Jorge Leon. A few people also brought up still exploring the infamous “980 Site” as well as Doug Boxer pointing out to not fully give up on the Victory Court site.
3:47 PM PST: Igancio de la Fuente, who has been part of many efforts over the past decade to keep all the teams in Oakland, just stated that he will keep up his efforts to keep all 3 teams in Oakland. He feels that” the city is in a better postion than in the past to get this done.” Chairperson Brunner concers with what de la Fuente had to say, along with exploring plans incase any or all 3 teams leave as well as looking at the 980 site. She agrees with de la Fuente on moving forward with the project. RF Drummer is filming the whole event and will have the footage up on our Ustream channel later in the day.
3:52 PM PST: All members of the Committee agree for City Council to vote on the matter next Tuesday night. This concludes my updates from City Hall. StAy sAfe.
