Show #7: A’s Fan Radio & RaiderFanRadio New Year’s Extravaganza/StAy ThursdAy – 12/29/2011

Tonight as we get ready to close out 2011, we team up with the show that help us get our start, RaiderFanRadio!

In the 1st half of the show, we will discuss the recent trades of Gio & Andrew Bailey and what we got back in return, the rumors run-a-muck with the ballpark issues, the return of FanFest and our’s & the fan base’s course of action during FanFest as well as an idea both Cpl RFA & Raider Rob want to put out.

In the 2nd half, RaiderFanRadio will discuss the recent games the Raiders have played, out look for the final home game of 2011, a tribute to the late “King” Al Davis and a announcement about a new member to the RFR cast.

That and as always more from both shows tonight as Your #1 source for everything & anything on your OAKLAND Athletics and The World’s #1 Sports/Entertainment Radio Show team up for the 1st time ever to blow the roof off of Oaktown and usher in 2012!

On behalf of everyone here at the AFR family, we want to wish all our listeners and our returning international listenrs a Merry Christmas! We as always thank YOU the fans for support & spreading word about the show.

Keep the fight alive for keeping the A’s IN OAKLAND! Don’t believe the hype of this so-called “source” saying MLB is going to let them move to San Jose when MLB even said today that NOTHING has been decided yet. Be ready to rally as one at FanFest on January 29th for another Keep the A’s in Oakland tailgate event being put on by (as of now) us and the Oakland A’s Bleacher Bums as well as the return of the famed FanFest Camp Out the night before FanFest, which will have a Keep the A’s in Oakland theme & vibe. More info to come on both events.

It’s that time once again as another StAy ThursdAy is upon us! As always, if you have it already, rock your Oaklandish StAy t-shirt. If you don’t own one yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! GO GET ONE! 

Get your hands on one by ether going to the main store located at 1444 Broadway in Downtown Oakland, the Oaklandish Mobile RV at the Grand Lake Farmer’s Market (Splash Pad Park 9am – 2pm Saturdays, all year round. They will be at the market 12/24 but not on 12/31) or Piedmont Ave. at Pleasant Valley in front of Freelove Music School (12/19-12/24: M/T/W/Th/F: 11am-6pm) in Oakland, on the Oaklandish website (http://www.oaklandish.com) or any of the various retail stores in Oakland that sell Oaklandish clothing.

Shirt comes in both men & women sizes and are pictured below. Show your sport and do your part to let Lew Wolff & John Fisher know that we the fans DO NOT back a move to San Jose and that we want the A’s to stAy were they belong: IN OAKLAND!

The Return of FanFest – 12/20/2011

As most you already know by now, after taking it away for 3 years and trying to replace it with the weak Fan Appreciation Tailgate, the OAKLAND Athletics finally got smart and decided to bring back the beloved FanFest. However, unlike in years past where the event was held in the Oakland Coliseum, this FanFest will be held inside the Oracle Arena as the Coliseum is being used for a motor cross event the day before.

Given that there is still no word on how the ballpark issue is going to pan out, it is time for a plan of action to send a message to Lew Wolff & John Fisher that we A’s fans DO NOT back a move to San Jose and that the A’s need to stAy in Oakland! Plans are in the works as we speak to put together a rally like the one that was held on Opening Night this past season, as well as the return of the famous FanFest Camp Out put on the Oakland A’s Bleacher Bums. As always, once more info comes forth, we will be the first to let you know what is going down.

Also, we are asking all A’s fans that own a Oaklandish “StAy” t-shirt to wear it to FanFest as our sign of protest through out the day. If you do not own one, you get one by clicking here or by going to ether the Oaklandish store located at 1444 Broadway in Downtown Oakland or the Oaklandish Mobile RV at the Grand Lake Farmer’s Market and its many other locations through out the week in Oakland. The shirt is made in sizes for both men and women.

It is time once again for us to join forces as one and make our voices heard that we A’s fans SAY NO TO SAN JOSE! KEEP THE A’S IN OAKLAND!
